The top color for Spring 2013 is Monaco Blue, with powdery Dusk Blue nipping at its heels. Sigh. No surprise here given its toned-down similarities to Olympian Blue and Cobalt, major colors for fall.
Also not surprised with mint carry-overs, Emerald and Grayed Jade from Spring 2012, and other lady-like colors that were seen across some of the best collections (here’s looking at you Raf Simons).
While I personally find these blues and pastels safe enough to incorporate into my mostly-black wardrobe, the color I’m most excited about is Poppy Red: a brighter, orangier version of fall’s Oxblood, but a classy-enough red to exude confidence and femininity. I’m keeping my eye out for statement pieces in this color.
